A home that warms up the moment the first Empordà chill arrives
We install, replace and maintain residential heating systems so your home is warm when it needs to be and your bill doesn't surprise you when it doesn't. We work on new build, integral renovation and replacement of old equipment (gas or oil boilers fifteen years old, electric radiators that drag the bill or hybrid setups half-way through). Each case has its own system; we decide with you after looking at what you have and what you need, not before.
We start with the system, not the catalogue
There's no best system in the abstract. There's a system that fits your home, your usage and your bill. We explain the real options without selling you the trend of the month:
- Aerothermal heating (air-to-water heat pump) — the most efficient option for a well-insulated home; covers heating + DHW + cooling in summer if it makes sense. It has its own dedicated service.
- Underfloor heating — maximum comfort and low consumption, especially combined with aerothermal. Only fits new build or renovation that already touches the floor. It also has its own service.
- Condensing boiler (natural gas or propane) — still the sensible option when there is a gas grid and no structural renovation in sight.
- Low-consumption or aerothermal electric radiators — make sense in second residences with occasional use or in very well-insulated homes.
From there we size the power, assess the home's insulation and propose what makes sense.
Excellence, close to home
Since 1969, when our father founded Construccions Montero, we have done integral climate work across the Alt Empordà and Baix Empordà. We coordinate heating with electricity, plumbing and the building work when needed — fitting a replacement boiler isn't the same as sizing the heating for an integral renovation with underfloor heating and aerothermal.
Being local also lets us handle subsequent maintenance (gas boilers require periodic legal inspection) without depending on far-away service desks.

- You get in touch and tell us the situation: type of home, current system (if any), use (main residence or second home), whether you'll do a renovation or just an equipment swap.
- Our technician visits your home, assesses insulation, checks existing outlets (flue, gas, electricity) and measures the actual thermal needs.
- We send you a no-obligation quote, with two or three system options, installation cost, estimated annual running cost and payback period if there is relevant saving.
- We install and commission the chosen system, with tuning, basic usage training and, where applicable, legal registration for maintenance.
